Lesson #1: Space for Negative Comments

Well, before we get to our first destruction experience, we needed to fill out the page with our information for when our great grandchildren find it and wonder who the ancestral family lunatics are...

Next, Lizz chose a page for us to destroy. We have not done the book in any particular order, just whatever's convenient for us, or may be the most embarrassing or awkward to do in public. This time, we looked at a few and did what we felt like at the moment...

The page we came across? "Space for Negative Comments."

This is Lizz contributing to the project by writing her rude statement down.

We had a bit of difficulty with this in some spots - and we didn't finish it because we wanted to ensure that we could leave room for future insults.

This was the first wrecking of the journal, and it was a good one indeed - coming up next: Woody's Bakery!

As always, keep destroying things with Passion and Stupidity!

How to Wreck a Journal: A Photojournalized Experience

Welcome to the Blog of Katie and Lizz's experience with "Wreck this Journal". We hope you enjoy how we've begun documenting the experience, and more posts will be coming as we cause more havoc.

For those of you who haven't heard about this book, it is a journal created to destroy, or as Keri says it, "destroying is creating". It is filled with many pages which explain different ways to annihilate the book, but it's totally left up to the journaler's worst judgement.

Biggest thanks to Keri Smith, who gave us an entertaining way to deal with small moments of boredom in a new destructive way. Your creativity has lead to a lot of fun on our parts...

Thanks, and keep reading!
